Come discover your nexus of creativity in this discursive study in aesthetics. Let the performer in you find inspiration to awaken the creative core. The 5 session course is designed for singers, dancers, theater artists and art enthusiasts alike, taking inspiration from Natyashastra and other texts on dramaturgy. These ancient scriptures continue to power creativity and innovation for over 2500 years.
Raaga-Rang 2016 was a melodious conversation between folk and classical Indian music. Held on April 9th in Lexington, USA, the program consisted of an ensemble of songs that explored the bridge between Indian classical, folk, and Bollywood film music. This year Raaga Rang took on a journey that traversed 5 distinct regions of India, and highlighted some key musical genres. The program explored how classical music provides the Folk genre with timeless wings to soar & feet to walk on earth.
Raaga-Rang, a unique confluence of Hindustani classical and Indian film music, was a successful sold-out event held on April 18th 2015 at Scottish Rite Masonic Museum, Lexington, MA 02421. It was an extraordinary event where New England musicians explored ragas through the popular film music genre.
