RAAGA-RANG 2016

Raaga-Rang 2016 was a melodious conversation between folk and classical Indian music. Held on April 9th in Lexington, USA, the program consisted of an ensemble of songs that explored the bridge between Indian classical, folk, and Bollywood film music. This year Raaga Rang took on a journey that traversed 5 distinct regions of India, and highlighted some key musical genres. The program explored how classical music provides the Folk genre with timeless wings to soar & feet to walk on earth.

A great line up of New England Musicians sang popular Bollywood songs based on Classical Raagas with a live orchestra. Audience enjoyed toe-tapping bollywood film music and appreciated classical music as well.
